So much for that last post about posting more frequently! Super busy month of May. I'm moving house! So... forgive me but instead of original content, I will give you an amazing link that will get you salivating.
Sweet Paul Magazine - this amazing e-mag is self-published and created! Can you believe it? Certainly is sweet, Paul.
I, for one, plan on making this super easy apple and goat cheese (ahem, "chèvre") salad when I get a chance--that is, after I move. (Oh god, it's already the 21st and I don't even have a set home come June 1st! The dust settles tomorrow. Wish me luck!)

Eat: May in Brooklyn
Spent a lovely day in the Cobble Hill / Carroll Gardens area of Brooklyn with my friend, Han. Definitely got a little muggy outside; summer is here! I'm not sure how I feel. I was ready for a few more days of jacket-wearing, non?
We passed by a street fair on Court St. and stopped in at Prime Meats. Someone described it as Peter Luger meets speakeasy. Han noted the place was very British right down to the dual faucets in the bathroom (she is a newcomer to the city having just moved here after her four-year stay in London). I noted our meal was straight out of Prague--and delicious.

A bourbon spiked punch that was delicious.

Dinner: meat, cabbage, and dumplings. How Czech can you get? Had a bit of contemporary American (or traditional French if you so choose) flair with its red wine reduction sauce.
Anyway, today was a nice day to remind me how much I love this part of Brooklyn in the summer. Finish it off with some beer on the promenade--what could be better?
