Navy. Charcoal. Brown. A winning combination. Sorry the colours aren't more clear. It's hard to get the exposure right with these crappy point-and-shoot cameras! I was a little bored with this occasionally frumpy dress but wow, what a little belt can do!

Heading to Philadelphia shortly. Will be spending the day/evening/possibly next morning (?) with friends and also the step sister. Am looking forward to having my very first cheesesteak. Yes, oh yes. Happy weekend!

It's Friday, oh Friday!

Tonight's agenda: wine. cheese. apples... in my wonderful, warm living room with friends.

Was supposed to go to Storm King tomorrow but it looks like the rain is refusing to give way. Boo! Anyway, perhaps I'll be able to make it out there soon. If you're in the New York area and haven't been, you really should go! It looks amazing.

500 acres in the Hudson Valley sprinkled with enormous sculptures. I imagine the leaf-changing right now means it's even extra, extra beautiful out there.

Me gusta mucho ring pops! I always send engagement announcements when I eat one.

Future potential spouses: take note of the size of that thing. Hohoho. I keed... maybe.

Home Sweet Home: Lamps!

A rather crappy mobile photo, but how neat is this lamp atop a vintage land-surveyor? I showed it to my friend and he said they have these now at Pottery Barn (but of course, not cool nor vintage-salvaged) which is kind of a bummer. I've been loving really unique lamps lately.

Have another one to show you shortly (if my stupid mobile will successfully email it to my gmail account already, hot damn!).




Update: Here's that other awesome lamp. I love this art deco styling! And you really have to see how fantastic the on/off "switch" is on this thing. I use "switch" in quotes because it's actually not a switch at all and rather hard to describe. Anyway, it's a gorgeous lamp.

Anyhow, lamp envy. ;3

WIWT Weekend: 03/10/2009

R* is in town for the weekend. Pity the weather is such crud! We wandered around the city and ended up returning to this side of the bridge. Love this graffiti wall in DUMBO.
